From tour shirts in the nineties to The 611 Lifestyle — and what is coming next.

Mid-90s The Brand

The 611 logo went onto shirts, and the shirts went out on tour with the DJs who bought their records there. By the mid-nineties the apparel was being distributed to dozens of stores across the country, which meant the name travelled to cities where the store itself was only a rumour.

The store's own line on it was simple: “When the store was open, we put the 611 label on everything.”

It Came Back
As Clothing

In 2010 the name returned as The 611 Lifestyle, an apparel line built in two directions: DJ Life, which kept the original graphics and the original attitude, and Luxe Life, a premium menswear collection for the people who had grown up in the first one.

The relaunch got real fashion-press attention: Philadelphia Style magazine covered the rebrand and the clothing line's debut as part of a feature on Philadelphia's own designers and collaborators. Read the Philadelphia Style feature → The line also ran a Kickstarter campaign in spring 2013 — 611: A Clothing Line for Outstanding Men — which cleared its $7,500 goal, raising $7,651 from 29 backers.

Nothing Is
On Sale Yet

The keystone logo is coming back on shirts and hoodies, the same graphics that went out on tour in the nineties, along with a few things the store never got around to making. Sizes, colors and a place to buy them are being sorted out now. When it is, it will be here first.
